Beginners Questions • Apt Update & USB/Bluetooth broke ... :-(

Hi,

I'm a beginner with Linux, just learning with a very minimal install (bspwm & sxhkd and not much else...).

I just did apt get install, and my bluetooth and USB keyboard instantly stopped working. :( Everything has been fine up until this point.

I was using blueman-manager, which I reinstall but that doesnt help. If I open blueman-manager, it starts up with everything greyed out. After a while I get an error dialogue saying it can't connect to bluez and that the bluetooth deamon is not running. If I run bluetoothctl it says "Waiting to connect to bluetoothd..." and just stays there.

The USB keyboard works fine in BIOS and when logging on, but stops working after x-server and bspwm loads up. If I remove the USB plug, take the batteries out and turn it off and on multiple times, eventually it will start working. But I've never needed to do that before.

Can someone help me fix this please? And when you talk to me, talk as if you're talking to someone who is at the very beginning of learning about Linux & Debian.
