General Questions • [Software] Debian 12 wont boot after mdadm raid setup - Emergency Mode

Hi Everyone,

I setup a raid following the instructions here:
https://wiki.debian.org/SoftwareRAID

I rebooted the machine and now i am stuck in a boot loop. I get an error saying it is timing out waiting for the md0 device, giving me some suggestions for when i login:
debian boot error.jpg
I dont have the root password as during the setup i created my own user, and the password for that account doesnt work in the prompt. (my googling says that debian doesnt have a default root password)

Pressing Ctrl-D to continue just dumps me back into emergency mode

I have attempted to edit the boot options to reset the root password but I end up back in emergency mode before I can actually reset it

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
