Hardware • [Hardware] Debian on Dell Precision M6700 laptop?

I have an old Dell Precision M6700 laptop that I recently successfully changed from Win 10 to Ubuntu 24.0 LTS. However, I want to use this to do some program development for a particular application, and I have been told by others working on this same app that I would be much better off with Debian vs Ubuntu.

I looked through the 'DebianOn' material, but did not find any references to this particular Dell laptop model. Does anyone have any experience with Debian on a Dell Precision M6700 laptop?
