Hi,
I have buy an Asus Vivobook X1704V, and I have trouble with keyboard.
Like many people : keyboard work well in BIOS and GRUB. But don't work under Linux.
I try first to install Mageia9 with 6.5 kernel. Then Debian Bookworm with 6.1 kernel, dans sid with 6.10 kernel => Same result, keyboard don't work.
According to these posts https://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=157149 https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=291569 https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... linux-mint https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=277260 (Yes, very common problem, but no common solution)
I disable "fast/quick startup" in Bios.
I try some options to kernel, like i8042.reset i8042.nomux pnpacpi=off i8042.dumbkbd
Some keys work : Fn with brightness, micro, backligth and calc And, i can see some output with "tail -f /dev/input/event0" only on these some keys.

The only option which seems to do something is i8042.dumbkbd :
with this option MajLocks led is off, and dmesg don't return atkbd error (atkbd serio0: keyboard reset failed on isa0060/serio0)
Without this option MajLocks led is on and dmesg return the atkbd error.

Best dmesg output :

Code:

# dmesg |grep -C 2 serio[ 0.923993] i8042: PNP: PS/2 Controller [PNP0303:PS2K] at 0x60,0x64 irq 1[ 0.923997] i8042: PNP: PS/2 appears to have AUX port disabled, if this is incorrect please boot with i8042.nopnp[ 0.925117] serio: i8042 KBD port at 0x60,0x64 irq 1[ 0.925276] mousedev: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice[ 0.925293] rtc_cmos rtc_cmos: RTC can wake from S4[ 0.926107] input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard as /devices/platform/i8042/serio0/input/input0
The only solution that I don't test is kernel Patch ( https://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=157149 ), because this patch is for kernel 6.1.49 ans don't apply to kernel 6.10 and this patch is for E1504GA computer, not for X1704V.
I don't know how to modify this patch to adapt to PC and kernel.

Can you help me with this problem ?
Thank you.
