Hey,
My Debian stopped booting.
I can get to a shell, to be able to read write, but only by using the older Kernel's recovery mode. With "RW" and "init=/bin/bash", added options.
The newer kernel I used fails to boot at the message /run could not be mounted.
The shell I can get to looks like this: root@(none):/#
Can't perform a grub-update, mentions of " ELF header, headers?
Was doing no updates, Switched a rx 460 to a rx 480 a month ago.
Only switching ssds manually between Debian and Windows 10.
I might be able to get my zelda save game but better get it fixed. Once I can load the right live image to a usb.
But I don't know which to get. Does it have to have the same grub version ?
Also there is a efi file on hd0,1 which is not my file system and every boot was attempted with my file partition, which has linuz and the other file.
I did a fsck to sda2 but that did not help. Best to get the Live CD ?
