System and Network configuration • USB LTE Modem Changing Ports

Hello,
I have always used a internet connection with a rj45 connector and understand that you can 'pin' them to a given port.
Can the same thing be done with USB ports?
My USB modem seems to change ports/names at random.
After updates and reboots.
How can I 'pin' it to a given port/name so my network can find it?
