I do apologize for my previous post and my inability to articulate the problem. But through your help I do now know how to ask the question correctly.
I want to install Debian on a partition that currently has Mint. The other partitions have Win10.
I want to wipe the Mint partition and install Debian. Will the Debian install find the leftover GRUB/UEFI on the ~100 Meg Windows or NTFS partitions and will that cause a problem? Or will Debian find the Windows partition and work around it? Ignore what's there leftover from Mint and just install?
All I'm trying to do here is not make a mess of the Debian install. If I have to, I an reinstall Windows. I have my /home backed up offline.
Please accept my apology.
